https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=618536 (In reply to Mikle Kolyada from comment #9) > ComRel team belives that Jeroen's behaviour improved after recent decission > (see bug #670486 for details). It is very interesting to see you think the action was appropriate or that its impact was beneficial. As the subject of a suspension of git access and of a bugzilla account access suspension, I can tell you I had a wonderful time with no actual feeling of being punished. All the while I was basically worried for people who depend on the packages I maintain and, worse still, the random changes to those packages by people who should at the very least have asked for advice before changing anything, but instead chose to assume that anything I maintain was suddenly fair game. In summary, the random actions taken "against" me to improve community relations were hilariously inappropriate. Generally it's funny to watch how people far away on the Internet take their own basic assumptions of volunteers' motivations and project those onto others, as was the case with both of the 2018 "punishments" I received. It is however scary to think that you people wield this power indiscriminately of any knowledge of the alleged perpetrators. It is also rather worrying that the complainers get to suggest specific "punishments" as if they were already assuming another role separately from their role of being the victim. It is needless to say that the whole charade is then not exposed for what it is and that repeated requests for transparency are denied - it is par for the course in the current noxious environment this project is suffocating in.
